On Wednesday, January 16th, Tracey Goldstein, Esq. of Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker LLC of West Orange and Chris Hanlon, Esq. of Hanlon & Niemann PC of Freehold will present a “Fair Housing” program to POA members and guests.  The program will take place at the Wilshire Grand at 350 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Chris Hanlon, Esq. has been an practicing law for over 30 years.  He has litigated cases in the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Federal Claims, Third Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court, and the New Jersey Supreme Court. He also represents clients before Municipal Boards of various types, including Planning, Zoning and Rent Control. Most of his litigation has focused on personal injury, real estate related litigation, constitutional law, rent control, (including Mount Laurel issues), and commercial litigation.

Tracey Goldstein, Esq. is a partner with Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker, L.L.C  She has been practicing for over 14 years and is a recognized authority on landlord tenant law, having lectured extensively on the subject. She also has substantial commercial litigation experience. She regularly represents property owners in summary dispossess actions and other real estate related litigation, including housing discrimination matters.

The night will focus on fair housing practices as they apply to multi-family housing.  As an attendee you will learn what you as a landlord need to be aware, recent updates as well pertinent case law.  “This program is a chance for landlords to hear from the experts on the ins and outs of the law and how to properly comply.    “As a member who can receive free training on such an important subject, how could you not be there?   Tracey and Chris are truly engaging in their presentations, you cannot miss with this one” stated POA President Chris O’Connor.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a First Time Investors Seminar during which Mike Shulman of Rent- A-Room Properties will discuss the ins and outs of multi- family ownership. This will be followed at 7:00 p.m. by a brief business meeting. The Legal Forum will begin at 7:15pm with Daniel J. Pollak, Esq. of WolfBlock Brach Eichler speaking about tax appeals and our featured presentation will follow promptly.

Attendance at this meeting is FREE for POA members, who are also encouraged to bring a guest with them at no charge. Super Stars are allowed to bring three non- members with them. Non-members can attend for a fee of $35, which is applicable to membership dues if they join within 30 days.
