On Wednesday, January 13th, the Property Owners Association will offer an EPA Compliance Program titled “What You Don’t Know May Cost You.” The program will take place at The Wilshire Grand Hotel, 350 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange NJ beginning at 6:30p.m. and is sponsored by Merlin's Pest Control and LEW Corp.
This program was developed to provide the owners and managers of multi-family housing with a full understanding of their obligation to comply with various regulatory standards.
The Entech Group of Denville, NJ will provide us with an overview of oil tank removal as well as discuss loan and grant programs available from the DEP as well as the EDA to offset the costs. LEW Corp of Mountainside, NJ will update the POA members and guests on (EPA) Renovation, Repair and Painting rule 40 CFR Part 745 and its requirements to become a Certified Lead Safe Renovator and Certified Lead Safe Firm. Jeanette Dadusc, MS, MPA of the EPA Region 2 will also be on hand to discuss this new law.
The evening will begin at 6:30p.m. with a First Time Investors Forum hosted by Mike Shulman of Rent-A-Room Properties. This will be followed by a brief business meeting at 7:00p.m. followed by the popular Legal Forum. The featured presentation will begin at 7:45p.m.
Attendance to this meeting is FREE to POA members. Non-members may attend for the nominal fee of $35, which is applicable to 2010 should they join within 30 days.
