On Wednesday, October17th, Ed Tomkiewicz, Supervisor of Enforcement for the Bureau of Housing will address POA members and guests. The program will take place at the Wilshire Grand at 350 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The program is graciously sponsored by Rifkin & Rosen as well as Gardenstateapartments.com. With over 20+ years of government experience, Mr. Tomkiewicz is an asset to the DCA and the association.
The presentation will address the 5-year inspection process which is administered by the Department of Community Affairs as well as other issues property owners need to be aware of. Among things discussed will be any changes in the requirements, what is involved in the inspection, and most common violations. Window guards will also be addressed. Mr. Tomkiewicz will also be entertaining questions.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a First Time Investors Seminar, to be followed at 7:00p.m. by a brief business meeting. At 7:15 the Legal Forum will begin followed at 7:45pm by the featured presentation.
Attendance at this meeting is FREE for POA members, who are also encouraged to bring a guest with them at no charge. Super Stars are allowed to bring three non-members with them. Non-members can attend for a fee of $35, which is applicable to membership dues if they join within 30 days.
