On Wednesday, May 13, 2009 the Property Owners Association will feature, "Landlord/Tenant Law."The program will take place at The Wilshire Grand Hotel, 350 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ, and begin at 6:30 p.m. The program is graciously sponsored and presented by Levy, Ehrlich & Petriello, Esqs. of Newark, as well as Rifkin & Rosen of Manalapan, NJ. Refreshments will be courtesy of Appliance Brokers Ltd. of Dayton, NJ. Levy, Ehrlich & Petriello will discuss some of the recent court decisions affecting landlords such as the Essex County ruling for $10,000 against a landlord who failed to comply with NJ Abandoned Property Act after evicting a tenant as well as the March court ruling regarding "Pet" security deposits.Attendance at this meeting is FREE for POA members, who are also encouraged to bring a guest with them at no charge. Super Stars are allowed to bring three non- members. Non-members can attend for a fee of $35, which is applicable to membership dues if they join within 30 days.
