On Wednesday, May 12th, the Property Owners Association will offer Going Green and Saving Money, presented by EnergySquared, a division of Kipcon, Inc. The program will take place at The Wilshire Grand Hotel, 350 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange NJ beginning at 6:30 p.m. and is sponsored by Acadia Windows and Shore Insulation.

EnergySquared is a full service energy design consultant design firm that is well equipped to offer  mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and specifications as well as building performance modeling and energy simulations. Allan Samuels, LEED AP and Michael Matzura, LEED AP, will help multi-family owners navigate the new "green" landscape. We will learn what it means to be a green building as well as the applications in new construction and retrofitting. Incentives for renovation and upgrading will also be discussed as well as life cycle costs for different energy efficient upgrades.

The evening will begin at 6:30p.m. with a First Time Investors Forum hosted by Mike Shulman of Rent-A-Room Properties. This will be followed by a brief business meeting at 7:00p.m. This will be followed by the popular Legal Forum hosted by attorneys from the firm of Levy, Ehrlich & Petriello.  The featured presentation will begin at 7:45p.m.

Attendance to this meeting is FREE to POA members. Non-members may attend for the nominal fee of $35, which is applicable to 2010 should they join within 30 days.
